My buddy Drew Nugent let me know just in time that he was playing a gig within walking distance of my house. I gathered up a couple of dates and meandered up to the Pullman Restaurant, and grabbed seats in the front row. The band covered Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, and Drew even did an original that we had written together in honor of my birthday. The guy is so thoughtful AND he’s an amazing player! How many people do you know who can make music on a tea kettle? Look closely…. he does it! Now get out there & support live music!!!
