Route 1 in North Carolina will be 100 years old this year (2026). For 174 miles, it passes though rural places and it runs through the Raleigh metro area – a huge spectrum of highway experience. Set to music from when Route 1 was only 46 years old, the video harkens back to an age before the interstates fully dominated traveling habits in the US and life moved more slowly. Enjoy the ride!
