Explore the Vibrant Streets of Wynwood: Miami's Graffiti Oasis
For most of us growing up, graffiti was stigmatized and criminalized as a spray paint art form.
At a gallery you reach people who seek art, while when you paint in the street, you throw yourself in front of people’s eyes.
Street art is regarded as one of the largest art movements that has achieved huge popularity and is still a rapidly growing art form
Since opening in 2009 Wynwood has evolved into a globally renowned Street Art Museum and one of the world’s most celebrated Urban revitalization projects.
As one artist said “it’s an oasis for our creative mischief”.
“Working on the Walls gave us the motivation to surpass ourselves and go out of our comfort zone. It gave us more confidence in our work and how we define ourselves as artists” artist Ashop Crew.
Whereas traditional graffiti artists have primarily used spray paint to produce their works, street art can encompass other media, such as LED art, mosaic tiling, stencil graffiti, sticker art, wood blocking, yarn bombing and rock balancing.
Open daily 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Guided walking tours $35 graffiti and golf cart graffiti tours $45.
