Live reggae with The Wailers in King of Prussia beats Hurricane Ian
The Wailers’ “One Love” Tour came to town, and we were lucky to be able to enjoy it. First of all, we scored some free tickets thanks to Route1Views. Secondly, the remnants of Hurricane Ian were fast approaching at concert time, and we were worried that we’d have to endure some foul weather in order to hear sweet music. However, our luck held out after we performed our anti-rain dance, and it actually worked!
The band played a great 80 minute set, mixing songs from their new CD with a generous helping of Bob Marley classics. A crowd of 400 to 500 were there for the last Concert Under the Stars of the 2022 season – young and old – and many of the kids who stayed up for the whole thing got to take the stage with the band toward the end of the show, which is a special tradition at the Upper Merion Township Pavilion.
