New and Old in St Augustine
LA filmmaker, Katy Dolle ( www.instagram.com/katydolle www.katydolle.com ) joined forces with Peter to create a video about a few of the places that have changed uses over the years; The “Fountain of Youth” was once a burial ground, and a place the native people could count on for fresh water. It is now a tourist attraction, focusing on colonial life in St. Augustine. The Castillo de San Marcos National Monument was once changed hands a few times between the Spanish, the British and the US. Now it serves as an interpretive center that requires admission by the US Park Service in order to breach the walls. OC Whites, a downtown restaurant and bar has been dismantled and moved to a new location, was a residence, a gift shop and a fast food joint, and a few other things along the way. I hope you have as much fun as Katy & me exploring the new and the old.
