Arbetters- the Oldest Hot Dog Stand in Miami

Just a few minutes drive off Route 1 is chili dog heaven.
Boston natives the Arbetter family, began selling hot dogs back in 1959 on southwest eighth street.

This historical Miami landmark began slinging hot dogs at its current location since 1970.

Known for its old school look, easy prices, locals, students and longtime fans just keep coming back.

Their steamed buns and skinless dogs are known throughout town for their bean free Texas style chili, with just the right amount of smoky spice and a tinge of tomato tang.

A list of their chili creations on the menu include: scrambled eggs and chili, chili mac and cheese, chili smothered corn on the cob, chili cheeseburger, chili chicken hero sandwich, spaghetti and chili, chili tacos, chili nachos, shrimp steamed in chili, chili filled tamales, chili sloppy joe’s, chili topped meatloaf, and chili cheese fries.

Deeply rooted in the community, they created Arbetter’s  Hall of Fame, honoring local politicians, community organizations, teachers and Miami royalty, Emilio and Gloria Estefan.

Operating for over a half century, they have a wide selection of hot dogs to suit your cravings. So if you’re not chili crazy, you can sink your teeth into a traditional dog with mustard and sauerkraut.

The staff is attentive, orders are prepared quickly and the food is always hot and tasty.
