BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, in Robbinsville, NJ, is the largest Hindu Temple in the USA. One of the most remarkable aspects of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is that entry is free of charge. The Mandir welcomes visitors of all backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment for spiritual exploration and cultural appreciation. They are open every day except Tuesday, from 9am to 7:30pm.
There is a dress code for visitors. Specifically, tops must cover the shoulders, back, chest, navel, and upper arms. Leg-wear must be at least below knee-length. Visitors not having appropriate dress code would be requested to wear wraps provided at the Mandir.
While BAPS devotees offer their respect to all Hindu deities by bowing in their presence, their worship and prayers are reserved for Bhagwan Swaminarayan, a god whose divinity is believed to reside in the current guru.
