Blueberry Hill Farm Lab in Jonesboro, Maine, is the only university-based will blueberry research facility in the nation. Located right on US-1, this facility is used by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension for outreach programs and as a demonstration site for growers. Scientists develop new less toxic controls for disease, weeds, and insects. They also study irrigation strategies, improve plant nutrition, and study ways to increase fruit pollination and improve honey bee health.

The Blueberry Hill Farm Lab is right up the road from another blueberry-centric facility that we have shared before Wild Blueberry Land.
