    Chainsaw Artist - Ray Murphy

After turning on to Route 1 from 182 stands a huge building adorned with an eagle with its wings spread wide to invite one to stop and take notice. It’s then that your eye notices the multitude of wood sculptures surrounding the building. The bus that looks as if it has stories to tell, signage, uncut logs of various heights, and plenty of not-exactly-sure-what-it-is things create the artistic feel that explains who the artist; Ray Murphy is.
Nearly 79, Murphy is a colorful personality with a staggering number of chainsaw carvings (at last count, over 84 thousand!). He retired from his “live shows” in 2019, where he would carve inside his own homemade theater, but he still carves every day even after retiring.
