Located just over a mile off of US 1, Johnson’s tree farm is as warm and inviting an event as you remember. The beautifully groomed trees of all sizes await, while a guide brings you to different areas to find just the right tree if you would like. You can cut your own, they will cut one for you, and all the while, you can ask about the history of the farm, how they make each tree look so perfect, and what the best way to cut a tree actually is. Trust me, even your kids can’t come up with too many questions. They are so patient and kind.
One year, I was too ill to go cutting a tree myself, and there were precut trees available right at the entrance. The tree my kids chose was treated as if it was the most beautiful one available, was wrapped and they helped put it on my vehicle for me.
Then, when I went to pay, there were candy canes for all the kids before we left.
