Juan Ponce de Leon Route
Born into Spanish nobility Ponce De Leon was a conquistador.He became the 1st Explorer to reach Florida in 1513. His alternate quest was a miraculous Spring that could rejuvenate those who drank from it. Although he never found the famed Fountain of Youth he did colonize Florida and Puerto Rico.Today in St Augustine is a 15 acre park named Ponce de Leon Fountain of Youth Archeological Park.
