Local Casting for "Bad Monkey" in the Florida Keys

“Bad Monkey” fever hits the Keys as locals try to become characters in Carl Hiassen’s eccentric tropical noir “Razor Girl” starring Vince Vaughn, as our favorite health inspector Andrew Yancy, tangled in even more island style chaos in season two. 

 

Walking for a morning coffee or sunset stroll, you’ll see filming cranes at the docks, as energy on the island it’s unmatched right now. 

 

The hit Apple TV+ series and crew are back in town, capturing the authentic sun drenched magic of the islands.

 

The show’s creator Bill Lawrence has expressed his desire to continue the show, similar to his previous hit “Ted Lasso”, envisioning three seasons.

 

Locals have spotted camera crews near Lazy Way Lane, and along the iconic stretches of Route 1. Vaughn was spotted wearing a Hogs Breath Saloon t-shirt just yesterday. 

 

While most of the interior shots are done in California, the exteriors are shot right here in the Keys. 

 

Route 1 has gone Hollywood and “Florida Weird” is back!
