Mr. Mizner and His Monkey 🐒
I drove to the modern day Mizner Park, which I frequently do, and I would like to share the history of Addison Mizner, where you can visit the beautiful statues and memorials of his grand legacy. Addison Mizner’s vision began in 1894.
This was the beginning of his architectural life designing mansions, yachts, and creating grand plazas and hotels.
His architectural brain created the Palm Beach of Boca Raton Resort. His vision and accomplishments were visited by the best of the best, that’s the best from the Kennedy’s, the Vanderbilt’s, and even John Lennon. The best part of this eccentric man was that he was quite an animal lover, who owned his beloved Johnny Brown, his monkey, but he also had 2 other monkeys, Anteater and Macaus. You could see Mizner strolling the grounds with Johnny Brown his beloved monkey 🐒.
