Rock and Roll Sushi and Barbecue at Porky's Bayside-Marathon, Florida

When you are driving South on Route 1 to the Florida Keys, when you reach Marathon you’re still an hour away from Key West, and sometimes you are either hungry or you’re just ready to start to party. 

 

We found a one-stop party place like no other,  Porky’s Bayside Restaurant and Marina which is located just 2 blocks East of the 7 mile bridge, and is dog friendly. 

 

This place rocks with live music, a full size 18 hole miniature golf course, the best smoked barbecue in the Keys, sushi,  fresh lobster and stone crabs.

 

You can arrive by boat or car and it’s located on the Gulf of America side of the island.  

 

The killer breakfast’s here have bottomless mimosas, and some of the best mojitos we have had in the Keys.  The barbecue is smoked on-site and really is delicious.  The sushi was off the charts fresh,  and it’s home to the original award winning Deep Fried key lime pie.  

 

We had stone crabs as an appetizer with drinks, and then played  some hilarious golf.

 

We then enjoyed the laid back charm of the Florida Keys with an island style Tiki dinner watching the sunset.

 

So just get out of the car and start the party early, because Key West is still a ways down Route 1.
