Sip Drinks Among Majestic Oaks: Discover the 1946 Treehouse Bar
What started as a simple gas station and store in the 1920’s transformed into an actual treehouse bar built around majestic oak trees in 1946.
There’s something undeniably special about sipping a cocktail while you’re perched among the branches, it almost brings back childhood memories of that first treehouse.
The floor to ceiling windows create an illusion of dining within the forest canopy and the sunset dinners are breathtaking.
A true culinary landmark of stone and weathered wood
seems to have a love affair with all the natural elements.
Norwood’s Restaurant and Treehouse Bar in New Smyrna Beach Florida has enlightened travelers with exceptional food for eighty years.
Of course they have steaks and burgers, but the seafood selection here is remarkable from the almond encrusted grouper, to their famous seafood pasta, the Captain’s platter, to the shrimp and scallop Alfredo, Maine lobster, tuna, salmon, swordfish and haddock.
Cocktail concoctions incorporate fresh citrus and there is a large selection of craft beers. Appetizers like fresh oysters and she crab soup are exceptional.
Norwood’s lower patio is pet friendly and offers pet meals so you’re furry friends can enjoy a gourmet dinner too.
There’s daily live music and happy hour is from 4-6 pm.
It’s the kind of place that becomes the highlight of a vacation, and it’s just off Route 1.
