The Princeton Battlefield
Are you looking for a good place for a picnic? Some fun history? Maybe just a cool spot for a walk?
Well the Princeton Battle field’s got all that. Fought in 1777, the Battle of Princeton was conducted right in this park. The site now contains a mass grave to the soldiers who died as well as some odd columns. Originally the columns were apart of a mansion owned by Mattew Newkirk in Philadelphia in the 1800s. The house was demolished in the earlier 1900s, but the columns were moved to a new home, the Mercer Manor built at the edge of the battlefield. The manor was then demolished in the 50s.
