Then and Now - The Central Railroad of NJ Broad Street Station - Newark, NJ
The Central Railroad of New Jersey’s Broad Street Station was a passenger railroad terminal located in Newark, New Jersey. It was the Newark terminal for the Central Railroad of New Jersey, which operated trains from the terminal to Jersey City, Hoboken, and points in between.
The station was in operation from 1889 to 1967, and was demolished in the 1970s. The site of the former station is now occupied by the Gateway Center office complex; only the facade and part of the entrance to the station survive.
