Wynwood Walls in Miami

In 2009, Tony Goldman had a vision for six large warehouse buildings in the Northern end of Miami. He arranged to have large murals painted on the blank walls, hoping it would encourage pedestrian traffic and bring the barren streets to life. A decade later, the area had blossomed into a riotous collection of street art – some of it organized, some of it haphazard. These images from my visit in February, 2020 are just a part of what’s there. You can spend more than a day there and still miss things. I regret not visiting at night, too.
