Open to the public, the Pleasant River Hatchery is an annual family trip for many of us who live in Washington County. Learn about Atlantic salmon, the way a hatchery operates, and even see baby salmon! For over 20 years, the Pleasant River Hatchery has incubated salmon or trout eggs with the help of students and volunteers. It’s a beautiful organization with the end goal of stocking river-specific fry into appropriate habitats in the rivers of their origin.
