Over the last ten years our go to place in Key West for Live Music has always been the iconic Smokin Tuna Saloon.
It’s old location was on St. Charles street, but now the brand new spot is 313 Duval street, the former home of the Hard Rock Cafe.
This place always rocking with world class musicians with top-tier musical performances daily running from roughly noon to midnight.
It’s a great place for people watching, but their tropical Caribbean seafood with Southern American influences is truly off the charts. Of course they have a Raw Bar with freshly shucked oysters, stone crab claws and peel & eat shrimp.
We usually order one of their killer Rum Punches with a mess of appetizers like the tuna nachos, the white bean chili, the smoking tuna dip, tuna with wasabi, the mac and cheese with shrimp or lobster, the conch fritters or the shrimp ceviche or try the yummiest fries with garlic parmesan sauce.
They usually have Hogfish or Mahi Mahi as a main course and the burgers are terrific.
There’s also a great swag shop with all high-quality fabrics and awesome designs.
Happy hour runs from 4:30 to 6:30 daily and they usually have BOGO drinks.
Another killer spot in Key West at the end of Route 1.
