Mill Cove - Robbinston, Maine
Directly on Route 1 in Robbinston, lies beautiful Mill Cove. This area is part of the Bay of Fundy and is rich with sea life. At low tide, it is a favorite place for families to walk on the sands and find starfish, shells, and sometimes clams! Mill Cove is a fantastic place to bring children for a few hours of ocean exploration. The red, rock cliffs and beach are stunning. They are made of something referred to as Perry Conglomerate; a mixture of large and small-sized rocks. You can find quartz and geodes on the beach. The softness of the stone has formed several tunnels along the cliffs that are fun to explore and makes for some beautiful photography.
Mill Cove is a special, family-friendly destination in Washington County, Maine.
