Peanut Island. - Riviera Beach, Florida
Peanut Island Go Nuts!!
What an amazing way to spend a day or camping weekend snorkeling, boating, fishing and a tiki bar for fun.
Doggie’s welcome at the park and on shuttles. Family fun with a high standard of awareness and care toward boaters, marine life and our precious manatees. Nothing better than snorkeling with a gentle sea cow. Come walk the grounds only to come upon non other than JFK’s Bunker, constructed in 1961 for use by the President in case of nuclear attack. Fortunately it was never needed but Kennedy did visit it several times for drills. There is an official “Presidential seal” painted on the floor of the converted museum bunker. You may be greeted by two famous felines. “Jack and Jackie” kitty cats who roam the museum, and call Peanut Island home.
What a great find for a good time off Route 1.
