Sip & Bite in Baltimore, a Canton Fixture

Fabulous Spanakopita omelet, gorgeous crab cakes, amazing bakery goods, and a friendly smile are the things customers have counted on since 1948 when Sip & Bite first arrived at the edge of the Canton section of Baltimore. The neighborhood around Boston & Aliceanna Streets has seen many changes as it evolved from an industrialized waterfront workplace to a trendy residential neighborhood.

The diner has changed, too. Just a facelift in 1982, though. It’s soul remains rooted in the greek origins of the Vasilliades family, who keep the operation going now in the 2nd generation of leadership after the founder, George retired in 2010.
