The Fabulous Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival
Being a marketing executive at three major movie studios and attending film festivals all over the world, there is one that will always be my favorite.
The Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) began 38 years ago by president and CEO Gregory Von Hausch.
He and his dedicated team of patrons, donors, sponsors, jury, audiences, members, staff and volunteers have consistently delivered a Class Act Festival.
Movie stars and filmmakers from the past and present have attended and were honored with lifetime achievement awards.
Audrey Hepburn, Michael Caine, Richard Attenborough, Tony Curtis, Roger Moore, Ann Margaret, Jane Russell, Norman Jewison, Ben Kingsley, Martin Scorsese, Jacqueline Bisset, Robert Evans, Matt Damon, Ed Burns, Matthew Broderick, Jennifer Beals, Gary Sinise, John Schlesinger, John Frankenheimer, and many others were there.
Over the years I have brought over a dozen films to the festival which have won numerous Awards.
This tremendous group deserves a round of applause for another successful Film Festival this year with amazing parties, screenings and events.
This month-long event screens hundreds of films all right off Route 1.
