For a week in July, I enjoyed sand, surf and sun by the seaside in this beautiful Rhode Island resort area. In addition to the historic lighthouse here, the Block Island Ferry brings day-trippers from all over. There’s something for everyone on Point Judith, from tidy State Beaches to quiet trails along the rocky coast, to small fishing communities, to kayaking and sailing places waiting to be explored.
