A Slice of Americana Georgie's Diner St Augustine
If you’re heading off Route 1 into St Augustine and you love nostalgic diners, there’s a classic one on Malaga Street next door to the Florida East Coast Railroad building, now home to Flagler College.
It’s gleaming.silver exterior shines like a beacon with its nineteen 1950’s streamlined aluminum accents, red leather booths, checkered tiles and neon.
The food here is spectacular with a menu full of traditional sandwiches, steak, pork chops, benedicts, salad, fried chicken wings and much more.
We had some of the best Greek food around: a gyro omelette that is out of this world.Terrific, crispy, home fries, nice portions, service is great, and the locals are here so it has to be good.
There’s a vegan butternut squash hash and vegan melt that’s to die for.
Casual clean-cut dining with a lively friendly atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating and of course pets are welcome.
