We love horses and when we lived in California, we often watched the Polo matches at Will Rogers Historic Park in the Pacific Palisades and the Santa Barbara Polo and Racket Club, with it’s lush fields framed by the mountains and coastal views.
My daughters would love to run out there and do the divot stomping, and nothing can beat having a picnic on a blanket next to the grass when the horses go rumbling by shaking the ground.
I guess there won’t be divots in the sand November 12-15 at Collins Park for the Miami Beach Polo World Cup held since 2005, a 4- day event of high goal polo matches featuring 8 international teams and more than a 120 horses.
It’s played with 2-3 player teams over four short chukkers in the sand area.
While the VIP’s raising money for charity will be drinking champagne and having caviar, the event is
Free to the public.
There will also be childrens polo and immersive clinics, where you can actually talk to the polo players.
So come Polo Party at the beach off Route 1 with us.
