Under new ownership under the condition they continue the Hot Dog Heaven Legacy, Joe Barra and Mathew Abdol, both Fort Lauderdale residents jumped at the chance to own the neighborhood favorite when it went up for sale.
Hot Dog Heaven starts with a pure beef Vienna hot dog made with the freshest leanest domestic beef, mixed with a secret blend of spices and then hardwood hickory smoked. The hot dog is nestled in a steamed poppy seed bun, covered with a wonderful combination of yellow mustard, bright green relish, fresh chopped onion, juicy red tomato wedges, a crisp half sour pickle spear, a dash of celery salt and and a couple of spicy sport peppers for little extra zing.
It’s easy to find this place because there’s always people lining up around lunch time.
Now open 6 days a week from 10:00 to 5:00 p.m.
