Even though Hurricane Ida was reduced to a tropical storm as it moved up the East Coast, it still hit New Jersey hard. The amount of rain and flooding in the Mercer County area was enormous. It flooded Route 1 in Lawrenceville, near the Quakerbridge Mall, and closed it to all traffic. The pictures shown here were taken over 12-hours after the National Weather Services Flood Warning ended, which therefore shows less flooding than what happened overnight. If the Coronavirus Pandemic did not hit Route 1, and its businesses, hard enough, here is just one more topping on the cake!
