Away from the hubbub of Bar Harbor is an often-overlooked section of Acadia National Park, offering exceptional views of the Mount Desert Narrows and Cadillac Mountain. The Schoodic section of Acadia National Park is accessible near Winter Harbor. While not a bike trail, per se, the Loop Road (one way) is an incredibly beautiful 10-mile trek that might take you all day to finish. There are opportunities to stop and ogle the scenery every few hundred yards, and the Mount Desert Narrows provide an endless supply of jaw-dropping vistas toward Cadillac Mountain. A highly-recommended Route 1 detour!
