Celebrating 97 Years of Route 1: A Visual Tour.
From Fort Kent, Maine to Key West, Florida, Route 1 traverses 2,390 miles of some of the most historically important and culturally rich areas of the United States. This video is a birthday celebration for Route 1 – now 97 years old- showcasing the diversity of places you can find along the way. Every state has its own identity and flavor, and I’ve done my best to represent some of that diversity during the flyover. However, states like Maine and Florida have more than 500 miles of Route 1, so it just isn’t possible to do them justice! So enjoy the nostalgia, the majesty, the quirks, and the bucket list destinations as you listen to Alfred Goodrich and Mike Brenner’s original song “Route 1”.
