Iconic Pet Sematary Truck Comes Back To Life In 2022

Anyone who has seen Stephen King’s iconic 1989 movie Pet Sematary, can remember being disturbed by Gage Creed’s death-by-fuel-truck scene in the movie. Many say it is the most shocking scene and one that has stuck with them until this day.

The actual truck used in the movie has an entire history of its own and one that ends up right on Route 1.

Specially built for the movie, this Peterbilt 378 was found sitting in weeds in Princeton, Maine. Once discovered, it gained some notoriety online as no one knew what became of it. Then owned by a logging company, Murray Laplant & Sons Inc., the decision at that time was not to rehab the truck but to leave it sitting for years.

Last summer, a local oil company, VL Tammaro, purchased the truck and decided to do a full rehab. In late summer 2022, the Orinoco driver in the movie, Donnie Greene, came up from Florida to visit the truck and see how the rehab was progressing. Exciting stuff for Washington County residents.

VL Tammaro has since posted photos of the truck as it looks today, gorgeous with no signs of its sinister movie history. We love it!
