Patricia Moore, one of the owners, honed her skills in the art of dry cure artisanal smoking alongside her father within this very building. Her father was a celebrated artisan in his own right, receiving six SOFI awards for his smoked creations before his untimely passing. This legacy of excellence in smoking techniques and a commitment to quality has been the foundation upon which the Smokehouse was established.

Gary Moore, co-owner and Patricia’s husband brings to the Smokehouse a lifetime of experience on the waters around Maine. As a fisherman and captain of the “Casey-n-Taya”, his diverse expertise spans urchin diving, gill netting, and lobster trapping. This wealth of knowledge about local seafood plays a crucial role in the Smokehouse’s commitment to freshness and quality.
