Daytona Aquarium Opens with Exhibits
The Daytona Aquarium and Rainforest Adventure is an interactive educational experience featuring animals from both land and sea.
Visitors can explore nearly forty different exhibits. These include a large shark exhibit with 100,000 gallons of water and two touch pools. One of the pools is a 12,000-gallon pool for touching stingrays.
The Daytona Aquarium also has areas for alligators, frogs, lizards, and other animals. These habitats are set up to mimic their natural environments, giving visitors a chance to see how these animals live. You can learn a bit about each species and its role in the ecosystem as you walk through the different sections of the aquarium.
The 55,000-square-foot facility is located in the heart of Daytona on International Speedway Boulevard.
The indoor rainforest that will open next year, will feature multiple species, including primates, sloths, and tropical birds.
Throughout the day the aquarium has an animal meet and greet with reptiles.
