A Song of Fresh Tuna in Winter Harbor, ME

Winter Harbor is a cool little town that I was happy to visit. Our first stop as we were driving back to Machias was the LobStore, since we hoped to grill some fresh fish for dinner. We got swordfish that was epic. Maybe we were just hungry from our bike ride that day, but the freshness of the fish was noticeably different from what I’m used to finding at home or in most restaurants.

Hats off to the LobStore. We had such a good experience that we returned three days later and got tuna this time. Again it was delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. I should have mentioned right up front that the service was excellent, cordial, funny and engaging, too.
