Bucket List: Experience the 72-Square-Foot Smallest Bar in Key West
There’s nothing more fun then walking your dog with a cocktail down Duval street in the island paradise of Key West,
Located in the heart of everything just around the corner from Mallory Square is a real hole in the wall called the Smallest Bar, just 72 square feet, about the size of a jail cell with two bar stools.
Since the bar’s down there close at 4 AM and open at 7 AM, this place is a go-to spot to begin day-drinking (it’s a vacation right?) or the vibrant night life down there.
Key West reminds us of a cleaner version of New Orleans’ Bourbon Street.
Duval Street is only 1.2 miles long and stretches from the Gulf of America to the Atlantic Ocean, and is laden with iconic bars, attractions and shops.
They say it’s the smallest bar in the United States, but it’s packed with charm and ice cold drinks specializing in their key lime pie shots and to-go cups.
Dogs are definitely welcome, and they have some cool t-shirts
So the next time you’re driving south to the end of Route.1, just hop on Duval Street for a wicked good time.
Add the smallest bar to your bucket list and be sure to ask the bartender to whip you up an pineapple upside-down-cake shot, you won’t be disappointed
