Laid Back Beach Shack Vibes at High Tides at Snack Jacks

If you’re driving down Route 1 searching for some beach food with an ocean view, head to High Tides at Snack Jack’s on Flagler Beach.

After surviving major hurricanes over the last almost 80 years, this small town rustic spot is the kind of place surfers hung out in the early 50’s, real surfers with wooden boards and cut off dungaries. Locals used to come here for years for fresh shucked oysters and watching the Gator game.

This is an old Florida restaurant with the salty air ocean breeze cooling this place down, where you can sit out back with a beer and get your feet in the sand.

They feature wild caught seafood in traditional Southern fried baskets. The food is great, blackened redfish sandwiches to die for, probably the best fried seafood you are going get till you hit the Florida Keys. Jalapeno poppers, spiced steamed shrimp, fresh wild caught sardines, conch and crab fritters, fish tacos, smoked fish dip, calamari, coconut shrimp, and wings.

This place gets real busy during Bike Week.

If you pay with cash, you get a discount and definitely bring your dog.

They only have valet parking due to the narrow beachfront stretch along A1A.

Get your surfside beach fix in your flip flops, tank tops and your bathing suits.

They are open from 11 am to 9 pm, closed Wednesday, and Thursday. Happy hour is from 2-5 pm. Learn more: https://www.snackjacks.com/
