Robert Is Here Fruit Stand
Just east of the Everglades National Park is an exotic Fruit Stand called Robert Is Here. In 1959 Robert’s dad a farmer set up a card table across the road with cucumbers and erected a sign pointing in the direction of a 7-year-old boy “Robert Is Here”. At 14 Robert had saved enough to buy a couple acres where he grew mangoes. When he turned 24 he converted his little Fruit Stand into a huge Market where today his whole family his kids and their kids work here and grow most of the rare and exotic tropical fruit sold. There are free samples of the fruits such as dragon fruit, lychee, sapodilla gravis, egg fruit, passion fruit, black sapotes, jackfruit, sugar apples, and Monster Deliciosa.
As you can imagine the milkshakes and smoothies here are out of this world. Come on by Robert Is Here!
