Good Times at Lazy Days South - Marathon
When you’ve been in the car driving for hours South on Route 1 and you’re still an hour away from Key West, sometimes you just gotta get your toes in the sand.
There is no better spot than Lazy Days South in the heart of Marathon.
Many times we have been there for the happy hour (3:00 to 5:00 pm) with half price drinks and appetizers. Bartenders here fix a mean drink called Lazy Days and another called Lazy Mule that will kick your butt.
Its oceanfront dining indoor or outdoor, overlooking the Atlantic with romantic sunsets, spectacular views of Tea Table Key Relief Channel and Alligator Reef with the lighthouse.
Service is always perfect and the food is exquisite.
We love the laid-back vibes here and feasting on the yummiest Key’s style cuisine.
Beginning with fried calamari, crab cakes, coconut shrimp, oysters, steamers, conch ceviche, tuna tartare, gator tail, escargot, homemade conch chowder you can’t go wrong.
If you make it to the main course there’s stone crabs in season, with lobster, scallops, grouper and yellowtail, you name it, it’s fresh and local.
Better yet, if you’re in your boat and been fishing nearby, just pull up to the dock and they’ll be glad to cook your fresh catch for you.
Never had a bad meal here and never had a bad time.
